Own a piece of space and antique toy history with this very unique Marx Buck Rogers Rocket Police Patrol Rocket Toy. This vintage toy comes to you from the collection of “PA TOYS OF TIMES PAST. This toy is perfect for collector who wants something unique as it is not the typical lithographed toy. This one has been hand painted from Marx. Probably from their design studio in Erie, Pa. From time to time I find these hand painted Marx toys and they are a prototype. Which means, it was made as an example of what would hopefully become a production model. And they are usually marked on the bottom with the city location and dated telling you this. To see an example of this, check out my other listings as I have two prototypes listed there for sale. So I’m thinking for some reason, this one got away unmarked. I’m not saying that this one is the prototype, but even if it not, it’s still a “very” unique Buck Roger’s space toy. If you look very closely, you will be able to see the very fine brush strokes. This toy is all original including the mostly missing or replaced tail fin. There are only two imperfections, one is a scratch on the top behind the cockpit, as shown. The other is there is no spark out the backend as the flint is worn down or missing. So if you want something unique to add to your collection, this is it. This toy is boasting an awesome design that will take you back in time. Made by the renowned Marx brand and in very nice condition, this toy is a must-have for any space toy enthusiast or just for the uniqueness of having something completely different then all the rest.
