VINTAGE 1930'S, MARX TIN WIND-UP TOY, "JOE PENNER “WANNA BUY A DUCK!” GOO-GOO.

Here is a very nice wind-up toy from Marx coming to you from the “PA TOYS OF TIMES PAST” collection. circa 1930s. This is a tin lithographed toy called "Joe Penner and His Duck". Joe Penner was a Nationally famous radio comedian in the early-mid 1930s. His famous catch phrase was "Wanna buy a Duck?", and was featured in the 1934 musical film "College Rhythm". This toy, Manufactured by Marx, pays homage to the comedian. Turn the key and he walks along the floor as his hat goes up and down. Working order.


All parts are original & complete. Wind up mechanism works and Joe's legs walk & his cigar & hat move up & down. The toy does have a few spots of surface rust as shown in the pictures. Measures approx. 8 1/4" Tall x 4" wide x 5" Depth. See pics for more details and any questions just ask. Thanks.
