(RARE) Hubley Popeye Large Cast Iron Patrol Motorcycle.
One of the largest motorcycle pair ever produced by Hubley. As it’s 3.75” tall by 8.5” long. It’s made of cast-iron motorcycle with original rubber tires. Hubley as marked on tires. c. 1930s. Motorcycle comes with 4.5” tall cast-iron Popeye figure that stands on its own and has movable arms. Figure fits nicely on motorcycle and hands grasp handlebars. Raised “Patrol” text on motorcycle gas tank. Small stabilizer rubber wheels keep motorcycle upright for play/display. Motorcycle shows wear to gold accents and nickel-plated spoke wheels which have oxidation. It has two white rubber stability tires that look in good condition. Original cycle paint remains about 85% complete. Popeye shows moderate and expected wear on inside of legs/pants and on chin, back of hat and rear end. About 70% remains. Still a Fine example of this scarce, dynamic toy. You might see some original POPEYE riders here and there but the cycle is like hens teeth. Try finding one, you’ll see.
